Hi I am David Valenzuela. I have been recording original music since 1990. In that year my song "Nuclear Jam" was selected by Album Network Unsigned Bands from Los Angeles. Other artists who were also starting new groups at the time were from the following: Loverboy, Jefferson Starship, Steve Miller, Blue Oyster Cult, and The Knack.
Album Network and many others compare my style of playing with Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Satriani. Now my style of music is more like Salsa, Smooth Jazz, Spanish style leads. I call it Southwest Jazz.
Gerald Vest a Clinical Social Worker at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in
El Paso, TX. uses my music in his therapy to relax people who have come home from the battle lines and are dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Your "Southwest Jazz" is very impressive. I had to do a concert review for my Jazz class, and picking your concert was a great choice. Your soothing style is great!

Hello David, I attended a Wake and funeral in Las Cruces on April 19/20 of 2010. You and Arturo Munoz were kind enough to grace the family with several hours of entertainment. The warm and somber sounds were both comforting and soothing. I, as other members of the family were both grateful and impressed. I did purchase two of you CD's and have enjoyed them often. David's music is outstanding as it is both energetic and relaxing. I will often use his music in my Progressive Relaxation Program that I offer our soldiers who have PTSD/TBI in the US Army, premier health center for wounded warriors, on a daily basis.
